  21. If you have text already in a file on disk, you don't need to
  22. retype it. Use IMPORT TEXT. To do this, you must first prepare
  23. your text for importation. It must be in ASCII format. Almost
  24. all word processing program are capable of ASCII, it is the
  25. computer standard, but many don't use ASCII as their standard
  26. mode. To find out more about ASCII, see your word processor's
  27. owner's manual.                                                
  28.     If the text in the file will not fit in one picture, break
  29. up the file into several smaller files, each of which contains
  30. lines of text no longer than will fit in a picture, and a total
  31. of lines small enough to fit. If you have chosen a large font,
  32. your text files may be quite small.                            
  33.     When IMPORT TEXT is chosen, you will be asked for the name
  34. of a file to import. Then a rectangle will appear on your
  35. picture representing the size of the text. You cannot change
  36. the size of this rectangle. Move it to the desired location.
  37. Then 'set' it with a click of the left mouse button. Your text
  38. will appear on the picture in the chosen font and color and is
  39. automatically incorporated into the disk file.
